I wanted to send a heartfelt thank you to all of you who braved the rain and joined us for our Summer Soiree. Despite the weather, your smiles and enthusiasm truly made the evening special. We’re so grateful for your flexibility and willingness to pivot, turning what could have been a dreary night into a beautiful farewell to summer.
To our mentors, I hope your mentorship meetings this month are filled with connection and inspiration. And to everyone, I hope you had a restful long weekend! Thank you again for making our gathering so memorable. I can’t wait to see what we accomplish together next!

Tee off with WWS at Rice Eccles Stadium!
So many of you have asked for a low pressure, fun introduction to golf. Here is an amazing opportunity to join us for the ultimate golf experience inside the University of Utah, Rice-Eccles football Stadium. This is the first of its kind event in Utah, and Women Who Succeed is taking over Friday afternoon to offer a ladies only flight.Click on the QR code or the registration link to register today. Space is limited and will sell out quickly. Individuals and single registrations welcome. This event is open to non WWS members. Please share with your networks, friends, colleagues, and family members. The Ken Garff University Club will be open, serving lunch and beverages for purchase after your round. Join us for free swag and so much fun! You don’t have to love golf to love this experience.
If you don’t want to golf but suffer from FOMO (fear of missing out), you can still volunteer. Reach out for more information.
We will be hosting our first on-line auction! We need your help to put together trendy, giftable, high-quality items and experiences. We plan to host this event in early November and are looking for items, from handcrafted jewelry and artwork to services and vacation rentals, that would be perfect for someone on your holiday list. We want this to be exciting and something that can become a tradition for WWS. It is overwhelming work for few, but light work for many. Do you know a female business owner in need of brand or product exposure? Do you own a time share or rental you’d be willing to include in an experience package? Do you have suggestions for items to include? Do you have contacts that like to participate and donate to auctions? There are so many super talented individuals in our group and community. We would love to create the perfect balance of local artistry and wish list luxury. Reach out to us with suggestions and ideas. If you would like to help with or donate to this project, please email amyb@sieutah.org for more details.
Mentee Scholarship Information
This year, we are so excited to announce that we have $100,000 in scholarships available to mentees! Round 1 of scholarship applications will be open starting September 16 and if you are serving as a mentor, you may get some questions about it. We will create and send a FAQ for mentors to use to support your mentees in filling out these scholarship applications, but we will also have a webinar information session available to attend on September 18 at 6pm to review the scholarship process and answer mentee questions. This can be a great resource for mentors to know how best to support mentees looking for Women Who Succeed scholarships!
Scholarship Info Webinar Meeting
September 18 @ 6pm For those of you interested in helping grade scholarship essays from mentees on our scholarship committee, please reach out to Sydney Leiseth (sydneyl@sieutah.org) for more information.
