A Note from Erin,
It is hard to believe we have reached the end of this membership year! I am so proud of the success we have shared and the progress we have made together. The impact you’ve made, and the lives touched have been significant. Please join me in congratulating this year’s 88 recipients of the Women Who Succeed scholarships and cheer them on as they begin their college journey and find their pathway to their future careers. May they have the heart to dream big and the courage to dig deep.
We are busily preparing for our annual conference to launch the new cohort on May 20th. Please RSVP if you haven’t already. We are looking forward to these new mentees having the opportunity to take part in what has been so successful over the years.
We also appreciate your feedback on wanting more socials! We will be hosting local events – Mentee Mixers. A huge shout out to Lola Jean Bolton and Emily Hudson for their help organizing our members and mentees from our Northern region and to Darlene Dilley and Cheryle Caplinger for their help with our Southern Utah ladies. We will share more information with you soon about these local events.
Our Hip & Humble Summer Soiree will be held again this July for all members. Watch for details and RSVP through the Eventbrite link to be emailed soon.
After a hugely successful Girls Give Back event last November, we’re Inspired to do several hands-on service projects this year. Stay tuned!
We want to give a BIG thanks to all of you for the time, effort, and energy you have given to Women Who Succeed. Thank you to those of you who will be leaving us this month. Thank you to those of you who are continuing the work. We appreciate all your support of Women Who Succeed.
Happy Summer!
“What good is the warmth of summer, without the cold of winter to give it sweetness.” – John Steinbeck
Celebrate the AAPI Community in Utah
May is Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month – a time to celebrate and recognize the history and cultures across Asia, Hawaii, and Pacific Islands, and their contributions to the United States. The AAPI community is full of diverse identities, cultures, stories, and traditions, representing over fifty ethnic groups with roots in more than forty countries.
We would like to recognize the strong female leaders and members of Women Who Succeed who identified as Asian-American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islanders, and thank them for all they do for our community and Women Who Succeed.
