| This month we celebrate Mother’s Day and all women who have given selflessly with a maternal bond to others. I would like to express my respect and honor for those women. My own mother, Lynn Varner Trenbeath was a trailblazer, confidant, protector, and nurturer – I strive to be like her every day. Thank you to all of the women who give so generously to others in so many capacities, daughter, friend, wife, sister, partner, aunt, mentor, and mother. |

Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage Month
May is also Asian Pacific American Heritage Month which celebrates the histories of Americans hailing from across the Asian continent and from the Pacific Islands of Melanesia, Micronesia, and Polynesia. This year’s theme is “Advancing Leaders Through Collaboration,” which builds on the leadership advancement series that the Federal Asian Pacific American Council began last year. We’d like to recognize amazing members of Women Who Succeed who identify as Asian American Pacific Islanders and thank them for all that they do for our community.
Mentoring Program
Current Cohort:
This May, we wrap up our inaugural cohort of the Women Who Succeed mentoring program. We offer you our sincere gratitude for the dedication you have shown these young women, along with your willingness to share your time, talents, and resources. Your participation this past year as founding members is truly building the next generation of female leaders in Utah.
As we wrap up this first year and prepare for the new cohort, we would love to hear from you! If you have a cute photo, memorable experience, or impactful outcome that you’d like to share, we encourage you to submit it HERE!
Join us for our 2021-2022 mentoring cohort wrap-up at the celebration! It will be held virtually on Thursday, May 26rom, 5:30-6:30 pm. Mentors and mentees are invited to attend! REGISTER HERE
Mentoring Cohort 2022-2023:
We look forward to welcoming a new cohort of mentors! Mentors will have the opportunity to meet their mentees in person and receive program orientation at the Women Who Succeed Conference. Please make every effort to attend! For those mentors unable to make it to the conference, we will send out an invitation to attend a virtual Mentor Orientation on May 10.
A Women Who Succeed reception will be held in the OC Tanner Lounge at the Eccles Theater prior to Dr. King’s presentation from 3:30-4:30 pm. You must have purchased a ticket and rsvp’d to Kaitlin to enjoy reserved seating and the reception at kaitlinm@sieutah.org. All proceeds from this event are used specifically to bring Dr. King to our community and to support the education of young women through scholarships, internships, mentees, and networking. This month we would like to begin with gratitude and appreciation for all the support we have received as we kick off 2022/23!
